Wimbly Lu Chocolate Cafe

I have a soft spot for little cafes and bakeries. Totally love having a nice cake/pastry dessert and reading my fantasy book or watching dramas on my iPhone, lazing my time away~ Sad to say my long long holidays are ending... ); So i shall make the most of the little time left! (;
Wimbly Lu is another local start-up cafe, specialising in chocolates!

 Seriously adorable car~!

 Their store has a really lovely, cozy atmosphere that's great for relaxing~! (: I love the red brick wall!

A display of what they offer!

 Tempting glass display of desserts. :P

Desserts Menu!

Selected their signature Blackout Cake ($6)

Thick fudgy chocolate frosting and cocoa cake with the texture of the Chinese Huat Kueh (发糕)! Not overwhelmingly strong in terms of chocolate flavour, not too sweet too. Relatively enjoyable cake though it did not exactly wow me~ I prefer a super heavy dose of chocolate. (;

S'mores Pie ($6)

Toasted marshmallows atop a smooth melt-in-mouth layer of chocolate ganache on top a crumbly pie crust drizzled with decadent chocolate sauce~ The dark chocolate layer was decent but had a slightly weird raw bitter aftertaste I couldn't really understand... Pie crust was the super crumbly graham type, shatters upon poking and was a wonderful accompaniment to the rest of the fillings. I think I like Windowsill Pie's S'mores Tart chocolate fillings and marshmallow topping better though, but I like my pies with Wimbly Lu's type of crust. (; They should combine hehe.

The staff were really friendly too~ Overall it was a very pleasant experience but it didn't really leave a deep impression on me in terms of the desserts. Maybe some of their other popular and highly recommended desserts like Rootbeer Float Cake, Waffles, Rocky Road are better~? (: Their double choc cheesecake with that thick biscuit crust looks fabulous.

Do go and explore~! (:
