Yummiest Thunder Tea Rice (擂茶饭LeiChaFan) and Others@ Tracy Juice Culture

Imagine this: A HUGE bowl of brown rice with an assortment of wonderfully, perfectly cooked and sauteed veggies, mushroom, tofu, cashews. Drizzle it with a steaming bowl of fragrant and rich green thunder tea. Mix everything together thoroughly. Spoon the the goodness into your mouth. Savour. *bliss~~~*

This has got to be one of my FAVOURITE main rice dish! The vegetarian Thunder Tea Rice (擂茶饭LeiChaFan) from the healthy organic juice shop, Tracy Juice Culture, at vegetarian haven Fortune Centre is one of the most delicious rice dish I've ever eaten! The taste is unbelievably yummy, and is the ultimate comfort food on a depressing rainy day for a hungry soul. :D

Their shop's juices and food focus on wholesome high-fibre fresh plant-based ingredients to offer busy individuals a quick and convenient way to get a boost of nutrients!

Thunder Tea Rice (擂茶饭LeiChaFan) ($6)

Don't shy away upon seeing the huge amount of green veggies! This rice has gotten approval from my numerous meat-loving friends to be a fantastic meal!

Sauteed cabbage, mushrooms, carrots, long beans, leafy greens, tofu chopped into small pieces, yummy brown little toppings (梅菜??), crunchy toasted cashews on top of pearly brown rice~ ^^ Sounds boring but it's really delicious trust me~ (; Cashews in place of traditionally used peanuts in thunder tea rice is a healthier and even yummier replacemement!!
Mix mix mix!!!

The thunder tea 擂茶 here is really special and unlike the others outside. It is thicker and more fragrant with a nutty, grainy feel and taste that is fabulous. They actually blend the tea leaves and herbs on the spot when you order instead of cooking one huge pot! So it's really hot and fresh! :D

Sadly because (as the shop name obviously suggests) the shop primarily sells fruit and vegetable juices, their Thunder Tea Rice is only available on Saturdays, Public holidays and every 初一 and 十五 exclusively at Fortune Centre outlet! But it's already better than the past when they only offered it on 初一 and 十五 because it became super popular! :P
Note that it is a really large bowl (super value for money!) so eat it alone if you have a big appetite or share between two!

I've tried a few of their juices and they're not bad but not your fix if you don't really like raw taste of veggies and fruits! And honestly it's rather pricey.... (><) Good ones include: Creamy Beetroot and Wheaty Black Soya.

Their hot dessert Yammy Lotus ($4.50) is another must-try there! Akin to an Or-Nee (the traditional Yam Paste Dessert) healthier replacement! The following is their menu photo... Don't know why I don't have photo even though I ate many times already... (><)

Warm, creamy and lightly naturally sweetened by organic brown sugar with generous chunks of soft, melt-in-your-mouth purple yams and lotus seeds... This dessert will soothe and comfort you. (: Healthy and nutritious too! One bowl serving can make you quite full!

Another must-try is their homemade pumpkin kaya! An eggless and nutritious kaya for vegetarians~ (; Guaranteed satisfaction, a great spread for bread, crackers etc and even to eat on its own!

Wild Rice Congee ($5?)

This one is very normal and plain though ingredients are really a large variety. Cook it yourself at home instead! (This is also exclusive to Fortune Centre outlet!)

Overall must-tries are definitely the yummylicious Thunder Tea Rice, Yammy Lotus and Pumpkin Kaya. (Hmm...? How ironic no juices...)
